All the Things She Said
Going to law school was just a crap shoot. I'd never felt particularly passionate about anything, including having a job, so going back to school seemed like a good idea. I had some idea that if I chose law, I had done the choosing that I needed to do. Then, I went to law school and realized that I'd have to choose the kind of law that I wanted to practice. I know it's impractical, but I'd love to find a small niche and become an expert in that. Being a generalist never appealed to me much.
I'm still harboring a secret Indiana-Jones-adventure-seeking archeologist career fantasy. Maybe I can satisfy it by becoming an expert in the "law of antiquities." I'm pretending to write my note on this topic. And, if I studied abroad in London next fall, I could take this class.
